Lets try a game that doesn't have that pesky land flood/land screw issue, none of these have cards that represent "mana". We will be running a non-MTG TCG Tournament of your choice, vote by reacting on discord in ⁠TCG (non-MTG) Vote Tournament. Result's will be announced 2 weeks beforehand (30/03). The tourney will be proxy friendly, and have decks to borrow as always, so don't feel like you can't play even if you don't have decks. There will be door prizing, and performance prizing. Including Tickets to Tokyo Alley. Typical Casual Card Games running alongside as always, for those not interested in playing in the tournament. The Strixhaven cross-planar student program is now taking admissions. Draft is a format of MTG where you select cards from booster packs to construct your deck and then battle those decks (1v1). Cost of entry covers these packs and prizes, you keep all the cards you drafted afterwards. We are running Normal Draft (8 Players): Choose one card each draft pick when drafting. Play 3 matches with Swiss pairing. Please arrive before the draft fire time so we can get the most games in. There will be prizing and door prizes for those that play all rounds. Including Tickets to Tokyo Alley. Signup and Pay on the day, First come, first served, spots may run out. Typical Casual Card Games running alongside for those keen as always. Magic the Gathering 7 Point Highlander (Australian Highlander) is a fan format where you can play singletons of strongest cards albeit with a point cost, so while you can play power nine, you have to choose which ones to bring. Minimum of 60 cards in the main deck Maximum of 15 cards in the sideboard Singleton – players are allowed to use only one of each card (with the exception of basic lands) Vintage banned list applies 7 points system – a maximum of 7 points worth of cards are allowed per deck from the Points List If your deck contains no cards on the Reserved List, you are entitled to an additional Point. This free best-of-3 1v1 tournament will run from 6:00pm signup, for 6:30 start, bring down your own deck or borrow one of ours. Proxying strongly encouraged. There will be prizing for winners and door-prizing if you stick around until the end. Including Tickets to Tokyo Alley. Want to learn how to play Magic the Gathering Trading Card Game and take home some cards, or compete in our Standard Tournament. Learn to Play Wanting to learn how to play one of the most popular trading card games, come down and we can teach why we love the game! New players will receive 2 Jumpstart Boosters to construct a deck to learn, play and take home after. All ages accepted, however children must be accompanied by their guardian. Give us a visit any time during Sunday 10th of May. Standard Tournament For already enfranchised players, come compete in our Standard Tournament instead, free entry with Tokyo Alley ticket. 5 rounds of Swiss (50 minute rounds), no cut to top 8. Pauper Commander is a variant of Commander (EDH) in which decks are made up of 99* commons with any uncommon creature as the commander Here are the rule differences: Commander must be an uncommon creature, vehicle, or spacecraft and does not need to be legendary. The 99* cards in your deck must be common Card Rarity - If a card has been printed at a specific rarity, it is classified under that rarity. This classification is based on paper and MTGO releases, excluding Arena. 30 Starting Life 16 Commander Damage Banlist instead of Commander banlist Mystic Remora Rhystic Study This event will be run the same as pod shuffle nights, with freebies for those that join.
